Those oft-discussed Nintendo friend codes may be more universal than previously thought. In an interview with Gamers.fr, Mario Strikers Charged producer Justin Dowsedell of Next Level Games said that the friend codes used for online games are tied to your Mii character and does not change between games.
“Each Mii created generates a Mii code that never changes. This code will thus be used for all other online games in the future,” said Dowsedell.
Each Wii console can hold 100 Mii characters. There are one trillion possible 12-digit friend codes; some quick number-crunching reveals that Nintendo can only build ten billion Wii consoles in its lifetime. Only ten billion? Way to limit your sales, Ninty. (We’re going to spell this one out: that’s sarcasm.)

I just saw a note on FightOpinion.com that Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that in addition to Yoshihiro Akiyama, Ken Shamrock is being looked at as a possible last minute replacement for Kazushi Sakuraba against Royce Gracie this Saturday.
To my knowledge, Sakuraba hasn’t been officially ruled out for Saturday. However, he’s yet to receive medical clearance and is scheduled for more tests on Tuesday and Wednesday. There’s no word as to whether Shamrock is receptive to the idea of fighting Gracie on Saturday. The two have fought two times previously.

Am I the only one surprised there’s still a Miss Universe pageant in this day and age?
Some 100 contestants representing their countries in a bid to calim the title as the Queen of the Universe, and what do they achieve along with the crown? World peace? Not really, just more reason for Donald Trump to whore himself in the media.
One teeny-weeny interesting note may be is that this year’s contest begins with a controversy. Miss Sweden Isabel Lestapier Winqvist has dropped out of the competition because Swedes say the Miss Universe competition is degrading to women and weighed down by scandals.
The “modern” beauty contests in Sweden has no swimsuit competition in an attempt to switch the focus to intelligence and education. Oh and beuty queens can pose on FHM, too, if they so like.
The Miss Universe, on the other hand, is judged solely on an interview and swimsuit and evening gown competitions. The process has been the same since it starte din 1961. Because, well, the queen of the universe should know how to wear that swimwear, right? We can’t have some fat-ass representing us to negotiate with the Klingons.
