Today’s hottest game video: Christie’s pole dance from DOA Xtreme 2

Since the number one and two slots for today’s hottest game video are occupied by the World of Warcraft/Office Space commercial, we’re dropping down to number three which is — the PlayStation Portable being used as a remote for the PlayStation 3. However, the video is so extremely craptastic and out of focus (really, people … learn where your macro focus button is before we all go blind or think we have glaucoma) that we’re going to jump down to the number four spot. Don’t get us wrong, we love the PSP as a PS3 remote, but that video drives us mental.

So that makes today’s hottest game video (by our fuzzy math skills) Christie’s pole dance from DOA Xtreme 2. Apparently you have to hit the jackpot on her slot machine nine times to activate this video, so play at your own risk. The song sounds like something out of the intro to a James Bond movie, and features more jiggle than someone learning to use the Wii-mote for the first time.

Check the video out after the jump, enjoy, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Kansas City Sets Football Back 50 Years

I’m on Thanksgiving holiday down in Wilmington, NC, which means I got today’s sporting news from the USA Today. Lucky for me, there was a preview of this year’s two three Thanksgiving games: Dolphins at Lions (drinking), Bucs at Cowboys (eating) and Broncos at Chiefs (sleeping), and it was in the Denver-KC preview that I uncovered this nugget…

“Expect another conservative game plan from the Chiefs. Green completed nine passes Sunday while KC featured formations with three tackles and blocking TE Jason Dunn.”

Nine completions? Six offensive linemen? Herm Edwards must be one crazy son of a bitch. It’s working though, as the Chiefs are 6-4 and Larry Johnson is on pace for 2,000 total yards and 20 TD. I wish the Redskins would do this rather than splitting four receivers out wide and abandoning the run.

USA Today also informs us that LJ is on pace to ”shatter Christian Okoye’s franchise record of 370 [carries] set in 1989″ despite not having a nickname nearly as good as “The Nigerian Nightmare.” But the stat fun doesn’t stop there. Another tidbit found in print is that Drew Brees is pacing towards Dan Marino’s record of 5,084 passing yards in a season, a record which has stood for 22 years.

Final note on Turkey Day football (for now), if Boston College somehow loses to Miami Thanksgiving night with Doug Flutie in the booth and Maryland beats Wake Forest at home Saturday, the Terrapins are going to the conference championship. ACC football… it’s fantastic!

chiefsbroncos.jpgThe slate of NFL games for Thanksgiving Day, as is often the case, aren’t the most exciting, if just because we have to deal with Detroit every year. The Dallas game features the glory of Bruce Gradkowski, so that’s not all too inspiring either.

Fortunately, the NFL Network begins its weekly games Thanksgiving night, and it’s a fun one: Denver at Kansas City. (We have a sneaking suspicion it might be the game Jake Plummer finally bottoms out.) So we’ll be able to watch that … no, wait, we can’t! If you’re a Time Warner subscriber, you still can’t get the NFL Network, which means, unless you’re local, you’re going to be football-less Sunday night. Some think this is all just negotiating tactics, and they’re probably right, but that doesn’t change that there’s still a chance they won’t get the deal ready for tomorrow night. And that’s a bit of a shame; it would be sad to miss the Plummer implosion.

The Orlando Magic are on myspace

The Orlando Magic, at 7-4, are having a nice season so far, and are supplementing it by reaching out to their fans…calling out to them…saying, “Hey…we yearn for you.”

One of the best ways to do so is obviously online, where even someone like us can do things like garner thousands of readers and get free cell phone service.

Alas, the Magic are in - they now have a myspace page of their very own.

You can learn all about the whys and whats and other inquisitive natured things in the Orlando Sentinel.

“We want to show them that the Magic are cool,” said Matt Gardner, the team’s Internet Marketing Specialist who created the MySpace page.

Well, you had us until that, Matt. [Young people!! The kids!! Hippity-hop!!!]

We think you can still recover - here’s the one surefire way you can regroup and maximize your myspace experience.

You must make the Magic an entity unto itself. You must have it talk as if it’s alive. You must hire us to do it, and failing that, you must let us do it for free.

We’d love to send messages all around the myspaceland saying things like this:

Hi!! I was just wondering if you wanted to instant message with me?! I like those pictures where you are showing your boobs. I want to kiss you. Write back soon!!!

Your pal,
Orlandy

PS I won the game last night! Choo-choo!

This really can’t fail, and that’s basically the end of this post.

We figured there was more mileage in this, but the most interesting thing about the Magic’s myspace page is that they’re encouraging people to vote Hedo Turkoglu into the All-Star Game.

NOTE: Go over there and look at who their second friend is in the first row. Amanda loves the Magic, and the Magic love family entertainment.

NOTE 2: Right next to her is the sole person on Earth who owns a JJ Redick Magic jersey. (We assume that’s a safe assumption.)
