Pat Riley is disgusted

As preparations for the big Game 2 tomorrow continue, Heat coach Pat Riley has stated a preference for “disgustation” in terms of his team’s mindset.

“They should be disgusted,” the Heat coach said Friday. “Disgusted and frustrated.”

“The truthbox doesn’t lie,” Heat backup center Alonzo Mourning said after a 90-minute film session. “I’m talking about the television. When we watch tape, that truthbox does not lie. And you can see the mistakes, the lack of rotation, the lack of help, the things of that nature. … It just wasn’t there.”

We want to see the conversation that took place between “…doesn’t lie” and “I’m talking about…”, because it no doubt involved some variation of “Alonzo, what the fuck is a truthbox?” This was followed by Zo’s all too civilized response of “I’m talking about the television.” (Best read in the same voice they use on Dateline to do the voice-over on the chat transcripts.)

We did the old ‘Zo point-to-the-sky after that one, because sometimes you just need these little gems to keep things going.
