Bronson Arroyo is pitching a solid game against his former teammates right now on ESPN, as the Reds play the Red Sox in a little spring training action. Cincinnati leads 1-0 in the 6th. You can listen to the game here.
Wakefield started the day for the sox and gave up only one run on a solo homer to….damn it; we have no idea who hit it. It doesn’t matter. Julian Tavarez is pitching for the Sox and he just got himself out of a little jam, forcing a ground out with the bases loaded and 2 outs. His mind must be on other matters, such as punching Tampa Bay CF Joey Gathright in the face the other day. In case you missed it, here is a video a fan took along with his running commentary. This proves the popular opinion that Tavarez is insane.

Major League Baseball just had their news conference to announce the official investigation into steroids. Bud sounded serious this time. He looked absolutely awful. The last couple of years seem to have really taken a lot out of him.
He claims to have started a plan to get rid of steroids as early as 1998. That seems to have worked out pretty well, considering that is the year that Bonds began taking steroids. It must have been one of those, “we’d prefer you not do it, but if you do, here’s how to get away with it” plans. Those are always efficient.
Former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell will head the investigation. He used to be an attorney and has extensive experience in criminal investigations. Bud claims the investigation will be “thorough and fair,” which means the odds on him finding that nobody did steroids are 1-1. He has given Mitchell the freedom to follow the evidence “wherever it may lead,” however, so one would think it would lead to some baseball players doing steroids.
He honestly looked like he would rather have watched someone have sex with his wife than give that press conference. George Mitchell seemed pretty serious about this thing, so let’s hope it’s quick and we can get into the post-steroid era of baseball some time in the next year.
This is all getting ridiculous and tiring. Baseball fans just want the game back without all of this extra nonsense. We bet if we polled baseball fans about the steroid scandal, most would rather have never found out at all than to have it come out the way it has. Ignorance is bliss.

page for the event" />WrestleMania 22 may still be 3 days away, but that isn’t stopping WWE Superstars from
taking to the virtual squared circle tonight in Chicago.
The fourth annual THQ Superstar Challenge will
begin in less than an hour at 6 PM at the House of Blues. It’ll be SmackDown vs. RAW
on SmackDown vs. RAW with reigning Challenge champ Shelton Benjamin defending his gamer title
in a 16-player bracket-style tournament.
If it’s too late to snag $20 tickets to the opening WrestleMania
weekend event, perhaps you can hang around until tomorrow, when THQ will “announce the next addition to the WWE
video game family.” Would a next-gen announcement be too much to hope for before E3? And will the Undertaker
continue his undefeated WrestleMania streak? Answers to your manly soap opera questions will be coming at ya this
weekend.
[Update: It turns out that the new
game’s already been confirmed–WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007 will hit the PS2, PSP, PS3, and even (a non-Sony
system for once on) the Xbox 360. 10 “next-gen” screens of the game to hit later this year are also available
via the Update link. Thanks, Master X 24!]

If the Phoenix Suns are going to win an NBA championship this season — and that is their stated goal — they will most likely have to do it without star frontcourtman Amaré Stoudemire.
Stoudemire’s comeback from surgery on his left knee lasted only three games before the Suns decided to shut him down, “maybe […]

The term “Bullshido” is a portmanteau of “bullshit” and “bushido” and is used as a pejorative term referring to a school’s inaccurate or fraudulent claims. Bullshido.net began in 2002 when several members of an Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) forum, disgr…
