full house (225 x 166).jpgJapan’s game tonight against Korea will decide the fate of Team USA. After Japan beat Mexico 6-1, the US will need Korea to beat Japan in Wednesday’s game in order to stay alive. The US could also stay alive if Japan scores or gives up a certain number of runs. We’re not sure what those amounts are or really how that factors in because we got confused when we were reading it. It’s not like we have ADD or something, but we started thinking about what it would be like to have ADD and got distracted.

Johnny Damon will not be eligible for the game after being diagnosed with tendonitis in his throwing elbow. Considering that Damon is pretty much a liability in the field anyway, this is probably for the better. As long as he can run and swing a bat sometime soon he’ll be okay.

This means that Bonds could actually be added to the team if Damon leaves due to his injury, although we doubt he would really consider that. Griffey Jr. is denying any memory of a conversation including him, Bonds, and steroids. The key here is that he claims not to remember, not that it didn’t happen. He’s a sneaky little devil trying to slip that one past us.
