…Donovan McNabb for Black on Black Crime. Let’s everyone just calm the hell down, all right? This goes doubly for Mr. McNabb. While whoring himself out at the Super Bowl like Paris Hilton before the newest season of “The Simple Life,” Donovan McNabb said that his rift with Terrell Owens is like black on black crime. While we’re no anthropologist, we’re almost certain that Donnie Mac probably didn’t grow up in the dark recesses of Hell’s Kitchen or on Crenshaw Boulevard if his idea of black on black crime is some jackass calls you a name.
Maybe McNabb does use the race card too much. After all, he brings race into the fact that Terrell Owens said the Eagles would be better off with Brett Favre. Bear in mind that Owens never said it was because Favre was white. But McNabb takes offense and asks why didn’t Terrell say any of the other black QBs like Michael Vick, Steve McNair, Dante Culpepper, or Byron Leftwich. The last time we check Donnie, Favre is a first-ballot hall of famer, and those other guys aren’t. Now, while they might be one day, they still have a lot of work left before we can talk about Canton. Then for McNabb to bring race into the equation sort of seems like reverse racism.
Through all of this, are we saying that we agree with Terrell Owens? Of course not. The guy is the biggest asshat in professional sports history. However, are we saying that McNabb needs to pipe down and shut his trap? Yes. Just ignore Owens. Pretend he’s a troll in a chatroom. Ignore him and he disappears. Remember, the funniest comeback of all time was when Ty Law went on national television during an interview with Stephen A. Smith and said that Bill Belichick was paid to lie. Then Belichick just pulled a no comment on the subject from there on out. Law had to eventually completely eat all of his words and claim that he was joking and taken out of context. Yet, later Belichick wins another Super Bowl, despite playing the second half of the season without Law who went down with an injury. That is how you defeat a moron like Owens. Not incessantly bringing him up and giving him more air time.
