Late Night Report
April 12th, 2006
Rangers announced 3 signings today:
First the Rangers signed 2004 First Round pick Lauri Korpikoski to a contract. Terms of the deal were not released. The Rangers did not say where they would be assigning Korpikoski but it is expected that he will be sent to Hartford.
The Rangers also signed 2004 2nd Round Pick Dane Byers to a contract as well. Byers who was with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL this past season is a strong in your face gritty player. He was 21-27-48 with 157 PIMs
Finally add Greg Moore to the list of those signed as he signed a 2 year deal and is expected to join Hartford right away. Moore who's rights were a part of the Chris Simon deal was one of the Hobey Baker Finalist and was just named a First Team All-American.
The Rangers also announced that David Liffiton was reassigned to Hartford which most likely is going to fuel even more speculation that 2005 First Round pick Marc Staal is possibly going to join the Rangers.
Dubi will have more on all of this tomorrow.
